Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 16, 2009 9:43 pm Oooops! So today I tested out several sample pots for my new feature wall. Once I had decided I tried to paint over the test spots using the paint the builders left over, But I am an idiot and I accidently used the shiny paint (enamel?) that was used on the doors instead of the matte wall paint. Now my wall has giant shiny patches on it soooo what do I have to do to fix it? DH has carried on like a pork chop about the work involved in rectifying my little accident, but I don't want to wait for him I want to paint my feature walls tomorrow! Re: Ooops! OK there are a couple of things you can do... A/ Buy some priming paint to cover over the enamel (which you will prolly need to do anyway) B/ Sand back the dastardly offending enamel paint until you are unable to see it and paint a small section with the arcylic paint to see it if holds! Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7079 Thank you.
