Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 16, 2009 9:09 pm I settled my new home in November and from the first week we moved in, we noticed the grout cracking in the upstairs bathroom. Since then, the grout has cracked and lifted in 6 different places. Not all the spots are prone to getting wet.
As we are coming up to the 3 month warranty with Simonds, (and going by their track record) I want some advice on what they should do to repair this. Could it be that: a) the floor was not sealed properly - if at all? b) just a ******* mix of grout? c) chipboard not screwed down sufficiently and prone to movement? and What should I be getting Simonds to do to fix it / What is the best approach? Thanks Re: floor tile grout issues 2Feb 16, 2009 9:14 pm They should fix it if it's cracked!!! I think the only thing they can do is to scrape out the cracked areas and re-grout them...???
