Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 13, 2009 12:56 pm I just have a bit of a plumbing question for those in the know.
If there is a laundry downstairs, and directly above this a kitchenette is desired at a future date, how difficult is it to run hot and cold water and the waste straight up the wall in the following scenarios? a) in an existing house built on a slab b) during a build as an "add on" without doing it officially in the quote (i.e. just get the plumber to run the pipes for later fitout as a cashy) or is this too much of a drama? c) make provision for future pipes during the build without actually running them What would be involved in each of those cases? Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance, Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Have you changed builder, swapped to a 2 storey design? One of those 2 storey houses with an ensuite to every bedroom (I've seen Carlisle's version) would suit you well. Just an in theory question concerning some plumbing. Nothing to report at this stage. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Plumbing question. 6Feb 13, 2009 3:15 pm If and when there is something to report, you'll be the first to know.

Very easy not messy... but you would need to let the supervisor know. joles If there is a laundry downstairs, and directly above this a kitchenette is desired at a future date, how difficult is it to run hot and cold water and the waste straight up the wall in the following scenarios? c) make provision for future pipes during the build without actually running them Waste of time IMO - may as well run the pipes. Further - you are unlikely to get planning permission for a kitchenette - so say it's for a wet bar. What about power?
