I personally think it looks like an add on, especially if you get a colour that is close to the tiles... If you do go different, I'd suggest a different colour, but one that will complement the house... Electrical Engineer... Don't hold that against me... And keen owner builder... Mainly the building part!! I was hesitant at first also because it was going to be so obviously different and as you can see it is right next to the house. Iknew the type of garden my husband was planning though and knew that would be the feature of our home, not the carport. Hope these photos help, they are the best I had. We used a kit from Stratco, my husband and father built. Their reccomendation would be to read all instructions prior to starting!
