- Do you really own a home?
Anybody can get a licence to mine under your land.
Anybody can fly over your land.
There are 300 acts of parliament allowing people to enter your home any time day or night.

So which bit is yours? You get to clean the toilet, choose the colours (internal of course - external is covered by covenants). But you can't chop down that tree...
We have a home on 25 acres and can't build another home for my family because since I built 12 years ago the government decided it's "green wedge". We live 2kms from the town centre surrounded by lots of standard house blocks and farmlets, but because we did not subdivide when everyone else did, the government has decided it is communal property - that I pay to maintain.
My DW is not so well and someday we will have to move as we won't be able to maintain it and my eldest son who would build along side and help us is not allowed to do that...
