Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 22, 2009 10:41 am We are contemplating getting a second storey built on our current 10 year old home.
Does anyone have a rough idea of cost? We'd probably be looking at adding around 10-12 squares. Anyone have any hints or tips or business recs? We are due to go and have a look at a design drawn up by the Extension Factory but now I'm wondering if we should change our design plans. Currently we have 3 bedrooms downstairs - main with ensuite and small wir -, a formal lounge/dining area, a family/meals/kitchen area an open study area and bathroom and laundry. We were thinking for upstairs adding a larger master bedroom with large ensuite and large wir, another bedroom and a parents retreat. After doing this we'd then convert the old master bed into the home office and re design our kitchen to work better for us. Would we be better to try and move the kids bedrooms upstairs and add a rumpus room for them????? I'm not sure which way to go..... ETA - I could add our current house plan if anyone would care to offer floorplan ideas.... Re: Double Storey Extension 2Jan 22, 2009 11:16 am Hi,
