Hi everyone, seeing most of you have gone through the sale offices of estate developers at least once i wanted to have some feedback on your experiences with high pressure sales staff.
Occasionally my customers are told by the real estate sales person that they can't have a copy of the contract of sale until they pay a holding deposit. Leaving aside the legal issues, this is not ideal for someone who is looking to buy land and build a home, especially their first home when they need the advice of their solicitor.
A couple of my customers have complied with this imposed condition and paid the deposit only to find the easements were not to their liking and it took them months to reclaim their refundable holding deposit. If the sales people gave them a copy of the contract upfront, it would have saved everyone lots of time.
Is this a common issue for you all?
