1) Less than 800mm high, 2) Less than 10 sq metres 3) Not closer than 1m to fences. Give them a ring and ask... I guess God didn't use subbies... I asked 2 people and visited their websites, I got 3 different answers. In the end, I sent an email to the nicest guy who said no, and he replied stating I didnt need one. It doesn't impact anyone else....
I read or heard somewhere that as soon as you ask for permission to do anything it gives the council the right to attend your premises to make sure the right thing is being done. Is this correct? Is this correct?[/quote]Hi, Haven't heard of that rule with Councils. But you can certainly ring them anonomously - just give your suburb or even street without your precise address. But you really should find out if you need permission or not - if you want to sell your house in the future and you have unlicensed building works it can cause a real hassle. Dale.
