Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 11, 2009 1:55 pm We are extending and renovating our home and my husband would dearly love to render our home in the process. I believe that our home would look silly rendered as it is just a rectangle and it needs some shape added (and possibly ofhter changes to make it look more modern, not just an old house rendered) before we render it. We have had a portico drawn into our plans but at this stage I don't think we will be able to afford it.
Another of my points is that my husband has created a wonderful tropical garden and now our house is barely visable from the road. We have just pent more money on palms to block out even more. I was wondering if you could possibly have a go at psing our home with a render, we haven't discussed colour at all, but I am thinking it would be a dark beige. We had the roof restored about 6 years ago to charcoal. A pic before we did the garden and a few now from different angles. I just told my husband that I was posting this and he said that the portico is included in the budget we have , I suppose I should take more notice of his spreadsheet. Oh well it will be fun to see it anyway. Thanks Andrea Re: D@n - can you help me? 8Jan 11, 2009 3:12 pm N ono no, this is the before shot, we had just bought the house and had all the existing trees removed. All the palms and other tropical delights is what we have done. A lot of hard work has gone into the garden, it looks so much better looking at is from the house/yard.
Here are some of the flowers that are all out at the moment.
