It's quite a moderately large area, and right now we've got a nice 3 panel louvered wooden screen room divider next to the door to "hide" the dining area from the entrance area.
I really want to have a short wall built where this screen currently is. It would be a short extension of a wall that's already there (that right now ends at the point where the door is, on another wall that meets it), and then I'd want a square hole in this wall, between the entrance area and the dining area, with 3 narrow shutters in it. You know how people have plantation shutters to separate 2 internal areas? That's what I want. Has anyone done anything like this before? I wonder how much it'd cost...*musing* How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing!
