I have a new stainless steel kettle with a plastic lid. Now, I have tried EVERYTHING, lemon juice, bicarb, washing, re washing , everything to get the plasticky taste out of the boiled water....can anyone give me a clue? I have boiled, emptied, refilled and boiled again for 2 weeks now to no avail. Can anyone advise me? It cost aboout $60 and is a reputable brand, all stainless steel except lid and filter edges.
