We are now only waiting on formal for the house and the titles! Re: Wallara Waters/Wallan 323Mar 22, 2012 9:15 pm hi everyone been long time i have discovered that a few people have pulled out of stage 7 due to once again the delays we have decided to stick around and wait it out, though the plan of being in before christmas looks like a very slim chance Building The Harvard 271 With Dennis Family Homes My Blog http://www.ourhouseinwallan.blogspot.com My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51625&p=789135#p7891353 Re: Wallara Waters/Wallan 325Mar 25, 2012 11:42 am i havent spoken to them but i am told from other people in stage 7 that the delays are with council Building The Harvard 271 With Dennis Family Homes My Blog http://www.ourhouseinwallan.blogspot.com My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51625&p=789135#p7891353 Re: Wallara Waters/Wallan 326Mar 25, 2012 2:10 pm That's going to be one of the joys of being a home owner I think - having to deal with councils more. It's something you're sheltered from a little when you're renting - I guess landlords have all of the fun when it comes to rental properties... Re: Wallara Waters/Wallan 327Mar 25, 2012 7:37 pm On checking the SPEAR website it shows that the Plan of Subdivision is waiting for Certification of the Plan. Hopefully the Council wll sort this out soon. What Barthez shared doesn't tell you anything you don't already know - council is still yet to certify that the completed stage complies with the design and guidelines set out in the in the subdivision plan application wrt to the subdividing of land parcels itself as well as all requisite infrastructure. @shellbelle We've been held up a bit by a floor waste in the laundry that the design team apparently failed to include everywhere it was needed in the construction plans (although the plumbing rough-in/slab plans certainly did include it because the pipe is there). Hopefully it'll be sorted out within the next week or so and we'll be in by the end of April - fingers crossed (it takes roughly 4 weeks to get the keys once the house build is nominally complete and ready for big M's inspectors to come through). The plan was certified today so we are now just waiting for the Certificate of Compliance and for the SPEAR application to be lodged at Land Victoria so Australand's solicitors can also lodge the application to register the Plan of Subdivision. Once this has completed we will then get the notice to settle. Still seems to be taking forever but at least there has been some movement. And good news Cattycatcat! Hope the move goes smoothly. Australand have confirmed that the registration is being applied for but due to next week being only 4 days they do not expect it to be completed until just after Easter. They will then issue the 14 day settlement notice. Wallara Waters/Wallan 335Apr 03, 2012 12:52 pm Oh your all so close!!! Sent from my iPhone so please excuse my spelling mist cakes Well catty no ADSL provider can help you until your phone is connected - you'll have to wait until that is done before you can start looking to have your internet connection sorted out. The exchange is Telstra wholesale only, so potential ISP's may include some of the following: http://bc.whirlpool.net.au/bc/?action=l ... rovider=32 It does all depend on you getting you land line phone hooked up first though - then the retail ADSL providers can work out whether there are ports free on the exchange or a nearby RIM. Edit - Looking at the info on http://www.adsl2exchanges.com.au/viewex ... cation=VIC it looks like the list of providers includes: Concen Internet Escapenet Internode Matilda Internet Primus Spintel Telstra Bigpond Westnet I would have thought TPG and iiNet would be potential providers as well (it appears that they can do an off-network connection - but you wont be on their own DSLAM network, meaning you'll be paying higher prices for lower speeds/download allowances for them using a Telstra DSLAM), so give them a look when you are doing your shopping around after your land line phone is connected. Be careful not to go on a contract for the land line though until you know where you are going wrt ADSL. Also check with Australand just to be sure that your stage isn't slated for NBN rollout/upgrade - it would suck if you go get ADSL hooked up now and then a short while later have to trash it to move to the NBN.
