Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 16, 2008 1:45 pm Our house frontage is rather tired and boring and we are thinking about rendering it to give it a facelift. Does anyone have any ideas on colour to use, and what sort of costs involved?
If anyone is good at photoshop would love to see if we could "preview" what it would look like with different renderings... Have you thought about either bricking around the post or a cheaper option to to put a box around it and cover with blueboard then render? We actually just recently had the posts replaced - they were rotten right through and were replaced with powder coated steel posts. We went the thin option as there isn't too much room under the carport to park the car. Re: Rendering Front of House 10Dec 19, 2008 8:19 am James Bond Replace the roof with colourbond? $10 - 15000. JB Would love to. This is the long term plan but $$$ do not permit these kind of things at this stage - would make a dramatic difference though agreed. Re: Rendering Front of House 11Dec 19, 2008 7:53 pm I agree that does look nice d@n.
McReidy have you thought what you will render with Acrylic or Mortar? Arfur Re: Rendering Front of House 15Jan 15, 2009 11:04 pm looking at the pic again, lots more windows than i first noticed , probably about $1000 for rapid render and $1500 - $1800 for square set.
Expect about $35 m2 for a good square set renderer. Rapid render is quite a bit cheaper but not everyone likes the swirly rougher look. Re: Rendering Front of House 17Jan 16, 2009 10:42 am I can't but imagine a cheap spruce up of that lawn/grass area. get rid of it and bung in a nice Magnoila kay paris or Little Gem, maybe a Manchurian Pear, now that would look good . Then a bunch of yellow gem kanga paws spaced out through the centre and a border around the outside with correa dusky bells.
That would make the rendered front look even better It looks like rendering will be a good step forward I like it Plasterer needed ? 18Jan 19, 2009 4:53 pm www.freshlookplastering.com Phone 0430008792
