Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 302Jul 16, 2010 12:39 pm flagstaffIV One of the guys that work for me is also working at Coles (Derrimut). Apparently it's very 'lush' too... All the rows are wide and you can see butchers working in the service area. If you've ever been to the Port Melbourne Coles it's suppose to be exactly the same!! Yes!!! I've been to Port Melbourne Coles a few times. I love that Coles! It has a section in the vegie and fruit area where you can make ur own fruit salad, its got the stainless steel bows around ice with all different pieces of fruit cut up, washed, and always fresh then u can assemble yourself in little containers - great if ur the person thats on the go. Also got the same deal but make ur own salad little bowls with dried up pancetta, cheese, croutons and different salads, tomoatoes, cucumbers, feta etc. Its beautiful My partner is painting the Brimbank Garden Shopping Centre - im not sure they've finished painting etc, walls are like a chocolate or carmel brown I think he said, he reckons its really spacious inside and colors really look great! Im so excited this area is going to boom - it was the same for point cook.. started off small but then the schools got built, shopping centres etc. Brimabank will be the same the assets being the schools and shpping centre! My only concern is hopeing i get really nice neighbours, my parents have lived in thier house for years and most of them still living there, everyone knows each other and helps each other when needed. As long as I get friendly neighbours also that would be the cherry on the cake! I'm feeling the same way - with all this development I have good hopes for the future especially with the semi-commercial areas which means local jobs. Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 305Jul 16, 2010 1:39 pm Hi all, Long time reader of this thread, first time poster... My Gf and I have purchased a block in stage 34 in Brimbank gardens. We are still waiting for settlement of our block which is already a few months late. No real rush here because we won't be building immediately anyway but I was just wondering if anyone else here has purchased in stage 34 and is still waiting for settlement. Our block is on Upton Circuit. Kind regards, Daniel Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 306Jul 16, 2010 2:47 pm flagstaffIV costa3411 flagstaffIV One of the guys that work for me is also working at Coles (Derrimut). Great to see someone thats purchased in stage 34!! Welcome Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 308Jul 16, 2010 4:33 pm cant wait to check out the new Coles etc...usually drive up Robinsons Rd....will need to drive up Mt.Derrimut Rd to check out the new Shopping Centre. It's good to see all this development. My missus and I were concerned that we're gonna miss the convenience that we have currently...but glad to hear there's stuff happening. Come on Costa and Clutrz......start building ASAP and move into the neighbourhood Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 309Jul 16, 2010 6:55 pm Quote: Me & my partner are also building in stage 34 and yes we are waiting for settlement also.. apparantly in August sometime.. and yes we too arent in a rush to build. Hi Costa, August!?!? The latest I had heard was July sometime!. Looks like I'll have to reapply for the loan as it expires August 20th I wonder how the internet situation will be? Does the devloper have to run fibre optics due to the NBN or will it still be copper? Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 311Jul 16, 2010 8:35 pm clutrz I wonder how the internet situation will be? Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 312Jul 18, 2010 1:38 pm I tried to get to the fish and chip shop for lunch today but they weren't open! What's the use of marketing if you are not even going to be open when you say you are (11am everyday). Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 313Jul 18, 2010 8:55 pm they should give you free supply of fish n chip for being a loyal customer! We were planing on checking out Coles this weekend but haven't mange to yet. Where is the grocery shop located? We were planing on checking out Coles this weekend but haven't mange to yet. Where is the grocery shop located? I have no objections to being their loyal customer... The prices seem pretty reasonable, $5 for a lunch pack is pretty good. Which grocery shop are you asking about? There are a few now... if you are talking about the asian one, then it's with IGA. All I have to say is WOW!!! It looked fantastic! One of the best coles I've seen in the western suburbs!! The isles are so wide, love the bakery and seafood section. The staff there are so friendly its a very good atmosphere, it looks similar to the point cook coles actually.. And going through the book/magazine section.. they have quite a lot of books and they also sell mobile phones! The vegies and fruit look so fresh also! Its very family orientated also which is great to see Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 316Jul 19, 2010 9:13 am clutrz Quote: Me & my partner are also building in stage 34 and yes we are waiting for settlement also.. apparantly in August sometime.. and yes we too arent in a rush to build. Hi Daniel, Yes we got another letter in the mail probably last month, stating land will now be settling in August some time.. you should've recieved the letter. Maybe give Geraldine a call Daniel! But you never know.. you may not have to reapply for your loan. It could settle early August (*fingers crossed*) Have you guys chosen who your building with? Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 318Jul 19, 2010 2:31 pm costa3411 flagstaffIV lol costa! So we can be house buddies =) hahaha that would be great flagstaff! Quick question what are the neighbours like in your street and next to you? Well I have spoken to pac-manny & bobes whom are both members of this forum, never bumped into them though. Bumped into two other neighbours while I was stalking my own house and they were very nice people. I've noticed its quiet around my street but we'll just have to wait until I've moved in! Haven't seen any hoons which is a good sign Hurry up and start building so I can stalk your house! Hehehe Re: Brimbank Gardens, Derrimut VIC 319Jul 19, 2010 3:15 pm flagstaffIV . Hehehe You need to stalk the house Saturday and Sunday nights to hear the hoons in the neighbouring industrial estate. Daniel/Costa.....I highly recommend contacting your broker/bank (both actually) and ask about re-applying. I did not and got burnt... the bank asked for the loan to be reapplied (three days before settlement was to happen) due to all the changes in the interest rates and my settlement was delayed. ended up paying around $1K in interest and lost my discount.....all up $6K which I could've kept had I been more diligent!! I have posted this before: We hired Darbecca to do every stage inspection, and I strongly recommend them to anyone that asks me. They were amazing. Thorough reports… 2 4632 |
