Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 04, 2008 2:43 pm Just thought some of you guys might be interested in some pics of one of the new colourbond colour: Evening Haze.
This is a display in Berwick, it's been used for guttering, fascia, downpipes and roof. It throws a very, very slight green tinge... but barely noticable. It's actually really lovely in person. White windows, and I'm not quite sure what the brick was.... And I think the cladding may also have been Evening Haze. I didn't take any facade shots, as the roof couldn't be seen from the front. Sorry the photos are a bit *******, took them from the car like a true stalker. Terrence Malick Re: New colourbond colour: with pics 3Dec 04, 2008 2:51 pm Yeah, Michelle described it as a soft Latte colour. It is considerably lighter than Dune in person. There was a house with a Dune roof nearby and the difference was noticable.
I think it is sort of an alternative to Dune, but like Dune it will lend itself to a heap of combos. Dune is so versatile, and I think this will prove to be as well. I've picked it as my fascia and my render colour. So if I picked it, it is suitable for people who don't normally like beige and brown. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: New colourbond colour: with pics 4Dec 04, 2008 2:58 pm It looks quite light up on the roof; I can see that this colour may be banned in some areas where I live, and possibly anyone else living near an Airport! I thought the cladding looked the same. Infills above the windows look like the same colour too. I like the roof pitch on that house too, looks nice and flattish.
The brickwork doesn't look that flash though! For a display especially, looks a bit **...fromt he windows on the second storey up, looks different to below. Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into a critique of that display home! It's a lovely colour, Evening Haze Re: New colourbond colour: with pics 7Jan 15, 2009 6:31 pm Has anyone used Metro Silver for their windows? We are undecided as to what colour to go with and can't work out if the Metro Silver from A & L just looks a bit "fake" as we haven't seen it in situ anywhere yet, we would really like to see what colours look especially with large sliding doors and large kitchen windows all in one area like we are having.
A link to A & L colours below: http://www.alwindows.com.au/colours.php?company=windows Re: New colourbond colour: with pics 8Jan 15, 2009 6:51 pm vid, my brother has used metro silver and I have mixed feelings to be honest. I've also seen it in displays.
I think it looks absolutely brilliant with a modern sleek interior and facade. But like you said it can look really fake sometimes. This is a display where I think it really works..... particularly check pic 9 and pic 1 shows the facade. Pic 9 shows a servery window... the sliding doors aren't ther silver though... they're wood. M3tricon will be filtered, but just add it in place of the stars. http://www.metricon.com.au/victoria/hom ... fault.aspx I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Hi Our backyard colourbond fence located on a busy road and it wobbles when cars drive pass it and when it is windy as well. It's colourbond and with 8 posts concreted… 0 2021 Yes i guess this is one of the main reason as i checked one post foundation 4 8568 Cheers. The painted render is a bit chalky to the touch. To prepare the surface for best adhesion, what would you recommend? Also, given that there must be some… 6 1619 |
