We're currently building an Urbanedge home in Hillside Vic and are up to the fix out stage. So far we're very impressed with Urbanedge and have had no dramas with them (touch wood). Is there anyone else that is building with them that has had any issues or that can give us some pointers to look out for? Thanks p.s love this site as we've just stumbled across it !!! Building Urbanedge Larne 002 Re: First home builders saying hello :) 6Dec 04, 2008 7:59 pm Hi Chris & Bel,
Welcome from another newie! We are also building the Larne 002, and when I went past today they have wrapped the house ready for the bricks! They are hoping to have us at lock-up prior to Xmas. Did you make any changes? I wasn't a fan of the cupboards in the main BR (thought I know others love them), so had them delete the alfresco from outside the ensuite, move the ensuite across to the edge of the house and install a WIR next to it. We walked thru the frame on the weekend and the WIR is absolutely huge! I'm going to have to go shopping now to fill it up... We also removed the powder room off the 2nd bedroom, though left the room there as a storage room. Am regretting that a bit now if only for resale down the track. We'll get some pics up on our blog soon. Good luck with the rest of your build, would love to hear how you go. Yay congrats guys! They are doing the platersing this week -ours will be at lock up before xmas aswell We originally deleted the robes aswell and put sliding mirrors behind the bed with our bed infront of a feature wall... (we saw this idea in a carlise home and loved it ) but a covenant in our area is that we needed to have a window on that side of the house where the mirror wardrobes would be so we couldnt have that oh well, so we ended up sticking with the ones they have in the display We also preferred the sinks they have displayed (kitchen and bathroom) in the Larne 001 so we got those instead! We didnt really make any changes other then small things like raise the height of the fridge space and make the width a little wider bcuz we want a fridge with double doors..... and raise the shower head heights bcuz Chris & i are both quite tall! Where abouts are you guys bulding? Building Urbanedge Larne 002 A question. Im in Queensland and building a new home. We managed to reach practical completion 6 weeks ago but we haven't heard any date for handover yet. Who should we… 0 5800 Hi All, we are starting to think of building with Masterpiece Builders in Victoria, has anyone had any feedback or experience with them 0 13567 1 7926 |
