Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 25, 2008 4:44 pm Now that my plans have changed I am going to have a MASSIVE spare room and nothing to go in it - my spare room is currently home to boxes of stock for my business but that is being sold off in December anyway.
So I need some suggestions as what to use it for. I already have a MASSIVE bedroom (bigger than some peoples master bedroom), lounge room, bathroom and balcony plus a computer room downstairs. At the moment the top floor all (mine) is being used as a mini flat with a 4 piece lounge suite, massive entertainment set-up, flooseball table and a full 7 piece dining setting with 2 bedrooms to give you some idea of the size of the area. Not to be a spare room as 2 of the bedrooms downstairs are being used for that purpose Ideas? Trying to make it mine! Re: Ideas for spare room 6Nov 26, 2008 9:10 am As you obviously don't have a real use for it atm I would do nothing and then wait and see after you move in.
After a time you may find yourself thinking you would like this or that and be able to use the room for it. But filling it with something just for the sake of it haveing a use seems silly to me and may involve more work in the long run changing it to something you later find you would like. If it stays empty because you have more space than you can use - is that really a problem? PS: my son has a 3 bedroom unit and one bedroom is a dedicated poker room Re: Ideas for spare room 7Nov 26, 2008 9:25 am I think you may be right Helyn.
I already have a fooseball table going in the main living room as it is really long. As I am the sole user of the 2nd floor and the house is well insulated so you don't hear the TV that much I don't need it to be a theatre room.
