Can they actually look nice or do they look like Jerry Springer trailer park homes? I saw a doco about them in America and the industry seems to be more advanced over there. Any advice? ![]() Re: Transportable homes - are they much cheaper? 2Jan 19, 2007 8:10 pm Hello aspiringpropertymogul,I can give you a some information about transportable homes in this region (Wagga Wagga NSW)as my brother owns the company that I am sending the link to http://www.austwidehomes.com.au/.I have no idea how prices would compare with those over your way,but would assume they would be somewhat similiar .Even though most of the transportable homes are clad in Hardiplank,Ceder, etc,we have brick veneered quite a few over the years.I think the biggest drawback to them is the shallow pitched roofs (they are required to meet the height restrictions involved in transporting them to the sites)But they are quite nice homes and suited to the rural blocks that they usually end up on.The extensive use of varendahs adds to their appeal also I think.Regards Terry Re: Transportable homes - are they much cheaper? 3Jan 19, 2007 8:16 pm http://www.austwidehomes.com.au/ Try this one.I think an extra full stop stuffed the other link up.Regards Terry. Terry, i will check it out Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 2914 ![]() |
