Well we applied for an underground power pit installation and have heard back from the company to instal it. Once I forward the payment they said they can have completion within 20 business days - I spoke to PD CSC and she said that we can have this installed while they are building and it won't interupt the build. In the letter they sent me it mentions something along the lines of "you will be required to enter into a contract to purchase electricity through an electrical retailer before an electricity supply can be connected. Your retailer will arrange the installation of metering equipment." Ok so does this mean I can't get this powerpit installed until after the house has been built as I won't have anywhere for the electricity company (eg AGL, Origin) to put the meter as we don't have a house as yet. Or can we still get it installed now, and when we are in the actual home we can then get the electrical company out to connect the underground power to the property/meter box installation. Also they stated that we cannot exceed our maximum demand for electricity which is going to be 40amps per phase and three phase to the point of supply. It says I must make sure this limit is not exceeded. Does anyone know if I am likely to use more than this? As far as electrical supply goes - we will be having an 18kw refridgerated a/c unit, the usual electrics - TV, dvd, Computer and such an electrical oven. The rest is all gas. Any help would be great - its all a bit mumbo jumbo for me My karma ran over your dogma Hi JW I just read your post and I find this situation quite strange.
