Thanks. Re: Building permits - who do Burbank use? 2Nov 14, 2008 10:27 am Hi Tony & Emma,
We have just recently built our home through Burbank. I don't have the paperwork on me at the moment, but when I get home tonight I will have a look through it to see who did our building permit through Burbank. Tracey & Paul Taylor Living in Marriott Waters Burbank Homes - Camellia 2900 (29.8sq) Land settlement - 8/05/2008!!! Building started - 5/06/08!!! House settlement - 17/10/08!! YAY!! Re: Building permits - who do Burbank use? 3Nov 14, 2008 10:28 am Thanks.
I was hoping to find out so I can call them and see how far off they are with our permit. Cheers. Re: Building permits - who do Burbank use? 4Nov 14, 2008 10:34 am How long have you been waiting?
I think ours took about 1-2 weeks to come through, for them to start building. Have you spoken to Burbank about it? Where are you building? Re: Building permits - who do Burbank use? 5Nov 14, 2008 11:00 am We have only been waiting a week. Burbank told us it could take 4-6 weeks though.
If it comes in in 1-2 weeks, we may have a chance of getting booked into the construction schedule before Christmas for a start straight after Christmas. I e-mailed Burbank to ask who they use, but have not had a reply yet. We're building a Stoneleigh on the Chase, Berwick. Re: Building permits - who do Burbank use? 6Nov 14, 2008 11:42 am Burbank aren't very reliable when it comes to customer service and getting things done.......we had quite a few issues with them all the way through our build, but we were very happy with the end result of the house.
I just had a look on our MyPlace and have noticed that from our Land Settlement on the 9th May, the Building Permit only took 11 days in total, completed on 20/5/08. And then building works on our property started 17 days after that on the 6th June. But ours got moved along pretty quick because I think they just wanted to get rid of my husband complaining that it wasn't getting done quick enough considering we purchased our land and decided on our house in August 2007......it was a long wait!!!!! Re: Building permits - who do Burbank use? 7Nov 14, 2008 1:31 pm Well, blow me - the building permit has gone through.
I just checked Myplace, not expecting to see anything, only to find that the permit was completed on the 12th. So, it only took them 3 days! Great. Burbank said it's doubtful for a pre-Christmas start, but hopefully we'll hit the ground running in the New Year. Can't wait! If that's the contracts department it's Sky Cassidy. Re: Building permits - who do Burbank use? 10Nov 21, 2008 1:01 pm I think they're referring to Construction Supervisor?
If so, I can find out for you. Beautiful estate The Chase. My daughter goes to Kinder there. Re: Building permits - who do Burbank use? 11Nov 22, 2008 3:22 pm I don't know yet then. Our contract is still back in estimating, waiting to be passed on to the construction department.
I wish they'd hurry up. I'm under no illusions that we'll get started on site before Christmas, but we'd at least like it booked in with the tradies soon as they stop taking bookings early December. If we dont get it booked in, then we may not get a start straight away after Christmas. Re: Building permits - who do Burbank use? 12Nov 25, 2008 12:37 pm Can you give me a street name and I can find out where it's at?
I was looking up ptmtaylor's job by mistake and could see that it went to site back in May and was thinking "hang on!" Don't fall for the "Freebies" scam Re: Building permits - who do Burbank use? 14Nov 25, 2008 12:55 pm Got it and taken care of.
