Austral San Selmo Smoked Opaque brickwork

Looking for some advice. We have chosen the smoked opaque feature brickwork for our home. It hasn't come out as expected. We are being told it is correct by the ss, as well as the Austral rep.

I've attached the display home brickwork compared to ours. One of our walls is on the left. What are people's thoughts on this? Personally I don't think it's acceptable. Anyone used the same brick?
