Honestly, maybe a few users from here should mention that they like the Metricon designs but have been scared off by your story - that should get them moving! Re: Is it time to get a lawyer? YES! 63Nov 27, 2008 9:16 pm The thing I'm so ** off about, is that I've been so reasonable.... hell, I've even defended them on here to the point that someone called me a nutter and accused me of working for them!
And now this.... I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Is it time to get a lawyer? YES! 64Nov 27, 2008 9:24 pm GO FOR IT JO!!
One thing i've learnt in life is that you need to look after #1 (you) as no one or not many others will give a rats about you or your situation. Just do whatever it is that you need to do to get the result YOU want. Good Luck with it....i'm sure it will be fine...just dont give up...(and i know thats not you to do that anyway! ) Re: Is it time to get a lawyer? YES! 65Nov 27, 2008 10:04 pm Wow they are unbelieveable!!!
Good on you Jo, dont let them walk all over you! Idiots are fun, that's why there is one in every village! - Dr. House - Re: Is it time to get a lawyer? YES! 66Nov 27, 2008 10:10 pm I just logged off.... and decided to check my email....
Guess what? An email from M sent very late this afternoon... (after my phonecall ) apparently the cheque is in the mail. I sh*t you not.... that's what it says... Still no amount though. It could be a cheque for $1.50..... I should have checked my email before I ranted..... but this may not be over... I'll be interested to see how much they are giving us back... Right.... now I am logging off and going to bed.... just logged back on for the update. Cheque is in the mail..... hmmm I'm already suspicious... I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Is it time to get a lawyer? YES! 67Nov 28, 2008 12:24 am Joles,
I await your reply... I have a feeling you will be pleasantly suprised! Re: Is it time to get a lawyer? YES! 70Nov 28, 2008 8:14 am Hrmz, it strange that they didnt even let you dispute the amount. They just decide on a figure and then draw you the cheque. I hope it's a sufficient amount.
Let us know. Idiots are fun, that's why there is one in every village! - Dr. House - Re: Is it time to get a lawyer? YES! 71Nov 28, 2008 8:14 am If it is not what you think is reasonable Jo, I'd get a lawyer anyway to get the rest of it. They maybe trying to buy you off, in the hope you will give up and go away.
If it does not appear by Monday, I'd suggest you tell them to cancel that cheque and that you will collect a replacement personally from their offices. I am more than willing to hand out leaflets for you, the way you have been treated is disgusting.. Re: Is it time to get a lawyer? DH says he is going to picket outside head office of our builder until someone listens (among other things but that is the only one of his threats I feel comfortable posting on here ) I'll send him over to sort out your situation when he is done Re: Is it time to get a lawyer? ... how about teaming up with a number of other disgruntled victims of the building industry, appoint a spokesperson who can succinctly summarise what has gone down to each victim, and contact the tabloid TV programs.
