Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 08, 2008 6:57 pm I'm looking at using Austral Nougat bricks, as are a few others on the forum. I'm just wondering if anyone has any further information concerning availability?
Last I heard they were doing some type of test batch and they would go through quality control. Does anyone have anything further? Any idea of when they'll be back for use? If not I'll have to go with plan B. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Plan B was either Lonsdale or Parchment bricks. But I want a sort of mottled roof colour so I want a plain brick. Lonsdale would have meant a uniform coloured roof. But now I can have Nougat with my Terracotta roof. I know how much you love terracotta roofs I_B! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. The tile called Ivory, comes up mottled. With Dune or Paperbark fascia and garage doors and Monument guttering and windows.

But it should have said above that.... "the ones you're talking about." You're getting better but not perfect. But I noticed you spelt polystyrene correctly today! Terrence Malick Re: Austral Nougat bricks, available soon? 16Nov 10, 2008 11:18 am Just spoke to Austral, the Nougat bricks are definitely back!!!!! Yay!
They are back in production and will be available in 1-2 weeks. Everything is 100% ok with them and there should be no further problems!!!! I'm so happy! At least one thing is going right. I would have gone that route if Nougat was a no go. It was one of those situations where if you'd waited.... you may have waited 6 months. In your situation I probably would have done what you did. Jo Yayyyy So happy for you Joles! Is that for real??? Is Nougat really back? Great, not sure how my 1 y.o DS would have coped with visiting more houses to see bricks if i had to choose an alternative. I'm so happy too!!! Joles, Are you sure Nougat is back permanently or is there a chance they will take it off the market again in the future? We probably won't start building until Mar or Apr next yr so don't want Nougat to go out of stock again before then... [i]We built in Point Cook and are loving our new house. Re: Austral Nougat bricks, available soon? 20Nov 13, 2008 9:25 pm At this stage they cannot forsee any further problems. No guarantees... but it looks good! I picked up my samples from Craigieburn on Tuesday! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself.
