Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 12, 2008 8:53 pm Hey Guys
On our block there are 2 areas where there is some rocks (smashed up concrete I'm guessing) leftover from the demolition. The rocks are probably the size of my hand and spread over an area of about 2m x 2m. One of the areas is at the front of the property where the old driveway was and the other area is in the middle of the land. I emailed my CSC to ask if they needed to be removed prior to site start and she said someone had been out to my place post demolition and didn't mention anything about them, but if they needed to be removed she was going to let me know ASAP. Anyway I haven't heard anything and seen as though we are due to start Tuesday I am assuming I won't hear anything. What I am wondering though is has anyone else had rock like this left over post demolition. If so did your builder ask for it to be removed? Will the site scrape get rid of rock like this? I'm worried they are going to try and hit us with a charge for having to remove them or delay our start due to them being there. I have the copies of the emails that state the rocks are there and do we need to remove them aswell as the replies from my CSC which say if they are a problem she will let me know so i hope that is enough proof on my side. What do you think? My karma ran over your dogma Re: Rocks at our demo site 2Nov 13, 2008 5:35 am if they are not within the building area then they dont need to be removed, if they hinder access to the block yes they will be removed..the excavators will charge the builder for removal if required. I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13091 We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37140 |
