Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Sep 24, 2024 1:29 am Hi all, We have some issues with a few of our sliding doors so am after some advice. We have a single sliding door between between and WIR/Ensuite. It has a full size 4mm thick mirror bonded to one size and weighs probably around 20kg. The runner arrangement seems pretty low spec - seems to be a single thin aluminium extrusion with the wheel running on top of it There is no 'top' extrusion so the door can be lifted off easily. There is screw securing the extrusion every 300mm or so, but I can't see how the pelmet is attached to the wall. How is it normally done? We noticed it started to slide a little rough and there was some sawdust type material near the lower track - so it seems the weight of the door combined is starting to sag and the groove in the base of the dear is running on the lower track. The second issue is that the door seems way too easy to knock off the runner when the kids play with it. Unfortunately our 18 month old doesn't seem to listen when we implore him to stop..... Anyway, I think a stronger runner that locks the door to make it more kid proof. I saw in an earlier thread Chippy said to get a quad wheel runner? Can you get runner arrangements that are harder to take off? I found this online - https://rollerco.com.au/product/9-1300- ... track-set/ It looks like it might stay on better?
