Box Gutter - Dripping Water Noise Problem

Hi Guys,

Those with “box gutter” outside bedroom, how did you stop the dripping water noise?

My IP at Melbourne has this problem and it’s very frequent. When the rain ceases or continue… the water is dripping from the box gutters through the drain, I can hear the dripping from inside the bedroom. It is REALLY loud and is driving me crazy. The gutter drains are right outside my bedroom.

I heard of two options
1) Some sort of foam insert. But risk of getting mould under it.
2) Drain chain. Not sure how it will fit/work in box gutter and how long it needs to be etc.

Can you guys help to share some ideas as what do they do in such situations?
