Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 23, 2024 4:58 pm Hi everyone, This is my first post on this forum, so apologies for any mistakes. My house construction is almost complete. I am building through a small custom house builder, and so far everything has been smooth. I changed the plans multiple times before the start of the work. According to the final signed plans, the toilet seat in the powder room was moved to the center position, but it has been installed on the side as per the previous plans. I assume this happened because the latest plans were not issued to the concreter. I realize it's likely not possible to change it now. However, the contract states that everything must be as per the drawings. I want to be lenient with the builder since they've done a good job so far. What options might they have at this point? Relocating the toilet is obviously not an option now, so would it be reasonable to ask for some compensation? Or should I wait for them to suggest a solution? Thanks for your advice! I would raise this and get them to suggest a remediation. My personal opinion, while it is not aligned to centre, if you put a toilet roll holder / vanity / toilet brush on the right, aesthetically it'll look centred. Do it. It dosnt cost much and just makes life easy. You won’t regret it. 2 3750 I ended up refusing him to pay to fix HIS mistake.
