Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 13, 2024 10:11 pm Hi guys, The downpipe I've marked up with yellow was blocked. Long story short, I have unblocked, I've cut it and left discharging on the top of the garden bed, so all the rainwater will be going right next to that brick wall. I understand this can be a problem as it can lead to that brick column/garage potentially settling/moving, however being Perth, the soil is quite sandy so I'm hoping the water will just go through. Do you think I need to run water to the soakwell or can i just leave it discharging next to the brick wall? Thanks! Don’t rely on soil properties as even sandy soil may have a slight percentage of clay or fine material that may gets washed out overtime and cause movement in buildings. So i really need to run this pipe into a soakwell? Any idea of how much it costs to install a small soakwell with piping? It will depend on whoever does the inspection and his pick up to details. 5 2038 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 22069 I’ve tried this myself and found that it can really elevate the look of a room, especially when you’re working with timber floors. 1 8618 |
