Hoping someone can help.
It's a 30 year old brick veneer house with a negative slope from the street. There's no effective drainage here except for a rubble pit at the back which fills up quickly. There's broken concrete all around the house edge basically. (The dirt here has been replaced). Inside the house looks surprisingly good with only minor cracks in the cornices and one minor horizontal crack in the ceiling where the ceiling panels meet I think. I found only one small crack in one brick outside.
There's one course of bricks above the ground level at the front, with DPC on top, and 5 at the back.
Under the top part of the concrete / mortar shown here there seems to be a beam / wall behind, with the same knobbly feel to it. During the 2022 flood the backyard was like a swimming pool for about 2 days if that helps.
Any ideas what kind of slab this would be, and any chance it's structurally sound? I have an offer to buy this rental house but would prefer to get some opinions here first before paying for a building inspection because I won't be able to afford many of these. Thanks.
