Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 04, 2024 5:49 pm I’m looking for thoughts on my windows in a new build. I’m presuming the rubber flat on the sill is flashing? Is it normal to see it like this? Other square set windows I’ve seen just have a neat window frame finish, not something sticking out from underneath. I also lifted one, see photo, & there was a hole there. I presume it’s attached to the window frame somewhere. I’m ok with it being there; what I’m not ok with is the mortar & render splatter on the black frames and the weather seal. A trade tried to get it off, don’t know how but he’s ruined the rubber in parts & scratched some of the frames in some parts. I’ve just googled. There’s a product called Cement Off. Has anyone used this product & have feedback? Otherwise builder's going to be replacing all the windows, not just a couple..
