Hi All,
We own a 70s townhouse with a corrugated light colour painted asbestos roof next to the beach in northern NSW. The interior upstairs bedrooms have exposed beams and the rooms are HOT in summer. There is no sarking or insulation between the exterior asbestos roof sheeting and the interior fibro ceiling between the beams.
Can anyone recommend the best insulation options to cool the interior rooms down in Summer please? I have been told to use sarking or similar insulation with a moisture shield to retard the heat from above. Can anyone tell me what product would be suitable? I'm not worried about the place being cold in winter as the climate is temperate. The heat in Summer is the key concern which needs fixing. Would prefer not to install aircon.
