Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Windows done properly? 3May 06, 2024 8:20 am SGT Ok, so now I get the rubber strip is a weather seal. I presume it’s attached to the window frame somewhere. I’m ok with it being there; what I’m not ok with is the mortar & render splatter on the black frames and the weather seal. A trade tried to get it off, don’t know how but he’s ruined the rubber in parts & scratched some of the frames in some parts. I’ve just googled. There’s a product called Cement Off. Has anyone used this product & have feedback? Otherwise builder's going to be replacing all the windows, not just a couple.. These are photos of small sections as I don’t want to identify myself yet. All frames in the house have cement/mortar all over them, have had for months & months.
