It pains me to do this, but I feel that I need to get the word out and ensure others don't have the same outcome as me.
Avoid dealing with Leon and Greysea Group. I engaged them to do my back yard which included pool, paving, retaining walls, over $100k in works. He invoiced me for decking material that was paid for in full however, he never supplied it and refused to refund me over $10,000
I won a VCAT case against him and because he hasn’t paid me back, he now has a judgement against him in the Supreme Court. We are still waiting on payment and have engaged The Sheriff to enforce this judgement.
Do not use.

Yes, there was a contract. But this seems to mean nothing. As you can see from above, I won the judgement against him and I didn't even need to show any type of contract. Just the work that was not completed by him but charged out. What really gets me is that Leon is just sitting on his hands while I am activly trying to get my money back. He has to do nothing, and in reality probably won't actuall have to pay me back because the judicial process is weak as p!ss. Not really. Its a civil matter, so if they came and ripped up your paving, you'd be eligible to sue them. Have you considered rocking up to his business and taking the materials you have paid for in the same fashion? Chance are he wouldnt sue you for it either and you'd get the same result you think they would if the roles were reversed. Maybe not ideal, but would potentially satisfy any pettiness you want to enjoy in the process. I remember witnessing a fencer coming over to a mates house to pull down a fence they built because the other neighbour hadn't paid their share. Police were called to site and could do nothing as he (the fencer) actually owned the goods until we paid him. This is where the courts and judicial system is abhorrent!
