Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Apr 13, 2024 4:21 pm Hi everyone, we are struggling to find inspiration for our house renovations. We've got a mid-1980s home in Perth that we want to renovate ourselves (as much as possible DIY). It's built with brown speckled bricks and the internal areas are all exposed brick as well. Previous owners have painted some of the internal brick walls white in the living areas. The photos show our recently renovated kitchen and living areas with these exposed brick walls. The photos also show a built-in bar area that we are going to convert into a walk in pantry. We want to block up the space between the brick pillar and the wall and then add shelving. We are struggling with how to block this space up eg do we brick it (even though finding these bricks is hard) or should we just do a wooden frame with a feature wall? We would love any thoughts/ideas on how we could freshen up our living space while keeping in line with the current brown/ creme colour scheme.
