Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Cost of installing integrated drainage system at sliding 3Jan 23, 2024 2:50 pm Ostrich36 Hi all, there was a miscommunication between our landscaper, builder and myself that we missed an integrated drainage system. I would like the outdoor area to sit flush and to be on the same level as my living/dining area. The builder is saying that to do it we will need to install an integrated drainage system that forms part of the sliding door tracks/windows. However our landscaper missed that and now we are at the building stage that it may be too late to have one. Builder has indicated that it would cost around $40-50k to have one put in now and may cause a 4-5 weeks delay to our project. However my landscaper is asking if we could have the threshold drain put in in front of the door and windows as they are cheaper? I am getting very confused. Are they not the same thing? And is it really worth that much to have a seamless entrance? Thanks everyone Is your outdoor area covered?
