Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 23, 2023 11:00 pm Hi, I have flooding occuring at the side of the house everytime it rains. I checked the down pipe and it appears ok. The gutters are clean as well. could it be a blocked drain? or broken drain? I can hear water go down the downpipes.. Anyone have any idea what could be the issue? Thanks in advance I have got them in youtube here. cheers https://youtube.com/shorts/0w9p9DKdEco https://youtu.be/7MVNsxo2IJM Re: flooding at side of house after rain 2Dec 24, 2023 11:34 am Your gutter looks corroded near the downpipe and there is a lot of water discharging to atmosphere. The bottom of the downpipe has been taped (see the black tape) to seal the necessary gap between the downpipe and the adaptor that would normally prevent the downpipe from surcharging. The now charged pipe would assist the drain's flow capacity but the drain obviously needed a CCTV inspection as suggested above. The obstruction could also be due to debris fouling on the the adaptor's dead plates and this should also be investigated. 3in1 Supadiverta.
