Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 18, 2023 4:40 pm Hi all I've been noticing wet soil on the side of my house recently, it hasn't been raining that much though. I started removing some soil and realised there is decent amount of water built up near the rainwater tank. As I removed the water it would slowly fill back in again to a point and then stop. There are some pipes from out gutters around that area. The builder assured us it's natural water run off and said that they had a plumber check the pipes. But I'm not convinced, our land is relatively flat and the water filling in seems to be clean. Does this look normal? Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Riz. Re: Water backlog around side of house 5Dec 20, 2023 3:10 pm Thanks for the photos. You need to know whether the inflow or the overflow pipe is leaking and this is a simple process of elimination. INFLOW: The vertical riser should have a water level that is level with the riser's invert at the tank. First thing to do is to tap the downpipe to see where the water level is. If it is lower than the invert at the top of the riser, the pipe is leaking. 3in1 Supadiverta. Rainwater Harvesting Best Practice using siphonic drainage.
