Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 12, 2023 12:48 pm Hi Everyone, Despite our beloved Simeon from @Ashington Homes are there any other active custom builders on this Forum? I am thinking that probably a lot of Forum members would be interested to know who they are, what kind of houses/projects they are building, in which regions, etc. Also, it really makes difference if potential customers could easily reach you out directly or even publicly. Hope it makes sense. WBR, Alex Re: How many builders are on this forum? 2Dec 12, 2023 2:23 pm A number of builders are forum advertisers who have videos and high quality information sheets/articles. https://www.homeone.com.au/building 3in1 Supadiverta. Re: How many builders are on this forum? 4Dec 14, 2023 5:59 am alexp79 Oh, thanks Alex Am I allowed to comment on this thread? Surprisingly, there are quite a few builders who read the posts regularly and there are a number who advertise to keep this awesome place afloat. You would be surprised at how many builders who have called me and asked me not to mention their names in posts or talk to their clients. There was one major major builder, whom at one stage I was recommending to people and their CEO rang me when I was on a bike ride to tell me that I was to never to talk to his potential clients. He was nice as I have known him for a long time, but he had taken issue at me asking someone what the upfront Clarendon sales and deposit process was. His suggestion was that I should have just called him if I wanted to know. Fair enough, maybe I should have, but it was a throwaway question. ( BTW, if said CEO is reading this post, Merry Christmas to you and your family. I hope you are all well and your dad is still going strong.) So without mentioning names, the project home companies do monitor these forums. So I guarantee you, if you post about your builder they will read it. That sounds a little eerie. But sometimes, provided you are not being defamatory that might be the only way for the little guy to get heard. As to why more custom builders don't comment like I do, who knows. I genuinely enjoy helping people and I squeeze this in between appointments and maybe others are too busy or just shy? It's hard putting yourself there out on the internet and opening yourself up for criticism. Its unfortunate most volume builder marketing managers don't get this and just focus on squashing or 'burying' any negative comments.
