Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 06, 2023 8:30 pm Hi We are doing a KDR. Due to narrow block (10.5m) CDC/council will not allow double garage. We would like space for 2 cars in the future. We have come up with this design which has a single garage and adjacent car space (carport style though technically not a car port). The garage is on the right side to align with the current driveway (it is unlikely that we can extend the driveway either to line up with the carport). Keen to get your thoughts on this and if it would work practically. Thanks in advance. Re: Narrow block design with 2 car space 3Dec 07, 2023 5:33 pm Thanks for your feedback, especially about the garage door to living room. Yes there would be a room above the ‘carport’. We would swap the garage and car port around but I believe we have to have a min distance between our driveway and the neighbours so have to leave the garage where it is. Re: Narrow block design with 2 car space 4Dec 08, 2023 12:47 pm dimensions on your original plan are inconsistent and with accurate dimensions (including site plan, upstairs and down) i could make a proper scale drawing with furniture and some other ideas but something like this could work better for the carport, garage and entry and gives more comofratble options for living and direct access from carport and garage Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ You could be looking at anywhere between $400,000 to $800,000 depending on so many variables including: 1.
