What wall wrap do I use for wrapping the external frame prior to bricks in Sydney.
Just starting silver sparking or did I need to use one of those breathable Vapor preamble ones?

We have used a variety and value for money the silver sarking is perfectly fine Is it fine that is is no “Breathable” Vapour permeable wraps are recommended in cold to temperate climates to reduce the risk of condensation build up inside the walls and ceiling spaces during colder months (resulting from vapour inside the building flowing outwards). In some climate zones (colder) they are required. I'm not really sure where Sydney sits on this scale, but it is in the same climate zone as Adelaide (5), where vapour permeable membranes are recommended. 04 May 2017 1,881 NSW Gold Member Re: House wall wrap 5Nov 01, 2023 1:30 pm Vapour permeable wraps are recommended for any climate and main thing that it allows walls to breath (i.e. remove water vapour), while, at the same time, provides protection from the moisture ingress from the outside (e.g. standard flashing never provides 100% protection and the water can still be blown into the framing). It should be breathable, otherwise you are going to end up with all the moisture stack on your framing and insulation, they will rot and undermine your structural and thermal integrity. So no, non breathable is NOT an option. It is much better not to have any. For colder climates the standard practice is to install non-permeable vapour barrier, which is generally installed from the inside. We used pro clima walls and roof. It's a high quality product (good vapour permeability and water resistance) and can withstand UV for a long period of time.
