Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 27, 2023 10:49 am Hi, We signed our contract late last year. In our Contract it states a particular Company to provide our Garage Door which we were really happy with as it has extra items we will purchase after handover. Our Site Supervisor tells us they changed suppliers for Garage Doors at the beginning of 2023 and we will be getting the new option which obviously is not so well known and a cheaper option. I said you won’t allow us to make any changes to the contract and he always refers to us that we have to stick to ‘the contract’ He has basically said we don’t have a choice, I have read the contract and I can’t see where it allows for change of supplier. Shouldn’t they bring this to us as a variation. I am alerted the Site Supervisor because a family member has just had handover and I noticed they had a different brand on their Garage and that is why I checked our contract. Thanks in advance for any advice smithjud Re: Change to Contract 2Oct 27, 2023 11:33 am If there is a nominated supplier in the contract for your garage door the builder cannot change that without your consent unless the supplier is no longer in the business.
