Browse Forums General Discussion  22 Sep 2023 2 New Poster 1 Sep 22, 2023 3:35 pm We are preparing to put our house on the market and want to mend cracks on the exterior render -Dulux. We are perplexed by the various quotes and claims we have received. The whole house doesn’t need rendering but we are concerned that it may look patchy and different shades if we just do panels rather than whole sections. Can anyone advise us if they have been through a similar experience or perhaps suggest what we should do. Thank you. 19 Aug 2021 199 Bronze Member Re: Mending cracks in render 3Sep 23, 2023 9:24 am is the finish Dulux Texture coat and do you have product from when house rendered? can repair cracks which typically involves removing render in those locations, patching/fixing then re-render that whole wall from like a corner to an expansion joint or corner to corner with texture. this is to cover the patch, paint wont hide it then paint everything to make colour uniform, so if that crack repair was on front of house would paint front of house 22 Sep 2023 2 New Poster Re: Mending cracks in render 5Oct 03, 2023 8:20 pm Thank you all. It has now been suggested to us that we should have cracks patched and then put 2 coats of coloured Dulux membrane over whole exterior.
