Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 01, 2023 3:38 pm My problems never stop… How can I fix this cooked leveling? As you can see the overflow relief gully is not raised high enough above the levelled concrete. Does it need to be ripped up and done again? Haven’t messaged the concreter yet. The top can pop off at least. Not sure what to do. How to approach the concrete or how this can even be fixed… Is there anyway it can be fixed without ripping up and starting again? It may be that the concrete has been set too high. The concrete may not be pretty but there isn't an issue as long as concrete and ORG are at the correct height. What is the OP's issue? Is it just the appearance or are they concerned that there is another issue? It may be that the concrete has been set too high. Attached photo below. There is plenty of distance between weepholes. I made sure that there was minimum 75mm for all. I also asked for 50mm fall over 1m for which they have said they have done. My issue is that the ORG looks to be level with the concrete. It seems at risk for stormwater to get in... The adjacent side also does not have a gap between the concrete to the wall. The is one drain to the front of the ORG and one further back. As mentioned, it may not be the prettiest concreting but functionally it's fine. The level of the concreting is as I would expect and gives you the flattest finish possible. The issue I raised was that I believe that there is risk of stormwater getting into the ORG. The concrete should have been created in a dome like shape around it. There would have to be a lot for that cap to over flow. But still..perhaps I can place another open cap over it or something Re: Butchered concrete over overflow relief gully 11Jul 03, 2023 9:04 am ![]() The appearance although not great has been the least of my worries. Stormwater ingress will be minimal and it's far better to have the top sitting flush rather than have a raised hump that you trip over or snags the bin when you drag it down the side. Even that concreting isn't that bad. It may be slightly poorly finished but overall a bit of a clean up and it would be fine.
