Our CSC had updated our file to say the slab had been poured already: it hadn't. We saw the footings etc in place on Saturday in preparation for pouring, and when I posted I'd just looked at the PD 24/7 tool which told me the slab had, indeed, been poured... and the CSC had emailed that morning to indicate that was the case. So we drove over there, remeasured it after seeing it wasn't actually poured and breathing a sigh of relief, and got on the phone. Everything was slightly off but not by as much as we'd thought because the footings extended quite a bit further than the slab was to be poured and because the temp fencing and peg lines were really dug in the wrong place as well. Somehow it managed to get sorted out within a day or two (not sure how) but we visited earlier and saw the slab's poured, it's in the right spot now, and the frame's nearly done. Hooray. ...I can't believe my husband nearly convinced me it wasn't "a big deal" if we lost a bit of land down the side! Yay! Good news.... I would have been surprised if there was an issue. The boxing up for the slab is always bigger than the actual slab area. We only have 2m at the back of our house, and I remember it looked very squeezy when they assembled the formwork for the slab. Dear Members I have to decide the Facade column size. My custom builder standard is 350mm with rendering, but i asked for 470mm plus stone or tiles and yet to get… 0 7508 All sorted guys. Just needed to buy a blade with the correct bush. Dunno how to delete this post, can't find any help file. Cheers. 1 3665 Current door width is approx 2700, looking to have double doors fitted 820-820. What size does the frame need to be before door jamb? Thanks 0 3550 |
