Yes, this is gross misuse and against building codes.
But hypothetically speaking, if there is a toilet located on an elevation (say 0.5m above ground level) and there is a sewer inspection point basically next to it on the ground, what would happen if that toiled was plumed into the inspection point other than an inspector having a heart attack?
Is there a reason those are always sealed other than same why we need a trap on a straight pipe?
