What are nail pops? (in simple terms)

Hi,

Google has informed me that we have nail pops. But Google fails to explain, in simple terms, what they are.

Could someone define them for me, please? Are they a sign of a safety issue?

We first noticed them around six months ago in one room. Now we are noticing them in most rooms.

We don't see any nails popping out, we just see these holes/bulging bits in the ceiling plaster.

Our house has a slab heave issue so I imagine this is just one of the related issues (we have a lot of cracking, doors/windows not closing etc. etc.)

Unfortunately the material critical failure data and information you are seeking is always keep off the internet
You need professional engineering advice, testing, simulations and solutions
Go to the local uni construction engineering department
and ask for assistance, flip the uni & final year student project some money and tell him/them there are 10K houses in similar disrepair Slab heave problem.
The smart ones would jump at the challenge. Sorry i am way too busy and too far away to visit and assist.
I hope you have logged the rate of change data ( Wall and slab movements data log over time)
It will make their project so much easier. you'll be taking on the nay sayers ,insurance companies and establishment.
Once you have the report talk to a Insurance lawyer But's that's another story

Thanks for the like....I can't stress enough (pun) how important Material critical failure data is during all stages of the design, analysis, build, life of the building , insurance claims and then repairs. LOL, Pity they don't update (likes) on my profile, and its tragic google is so far behind in being able to offer up professional sound advice to battlers and punters in their web searches. eg, Getting insurance advice is hurting battlers Home insurance premiums shop around
OT, no doubt information (data/proofs) and competition will smarten them up very quickly

Where did you build? what type of roof is on the home, what was the frame made of, is it a single storey or double storey, is the home in an estate? suburbia or on mini or large acreage? exposed to wind? HOW OLD IS THE HOME?
