After much internet searching I've drawn a blank. Span tables exist for timber framing but not for light gauge steel trusses.
I'm trying to estimate what size parallel chord truss (for a raked ceiling) would span a 6.3m distance if the beam is fabricated from light gauge steel of BMT around 1mm. The whole house would be framed using light gauge steel.
This sort of truss is also called a "sloping flat" truss.
The roof would be sheeted in metal and the ceiling plasterboard with insulation batts.
My guess is about a 400mm depth with trusses spaced at 900mm centers but I'd to locate an accurate figure.
Any suggestions for a source for this data or a guesstimate from a knowledgeable reader?
