That's like asking what's the best car. What are you going for? Is it a forever home, what is the budget (ie unlimited or are you very tight on finds), will it be a family home, how large is the block, location, single/married, etc. What stage are you up to? Have you paid a deposit, have you got plans, how large is the house, etc. What are some things about your house that you like? I just wanted to ask a general question, but if you want to know, I am building a family double storey home on a 448m2 block. Ignore my budget for now, I would just like to know what you like to see in a home we have a spa, sauna, double shower. raked ceilings are nice, see through fireplace in a dividing wall. Re: Best features in a new home 8Aug 31, 2022 2:15 pm Apart from build quality, northern sun streaming in during winter and no sun hitting windows in summer. - I don't like wasted space (unused rooms especially) so good design that utilises space well. - Nice amount of kitchen bench space and pantry space - Decent sized laundry - Showers that don't have frames - Ceiling fans Hi im new to this forum.
