However would any of the members have a ball park figure for the cost of a 9 metre 15 degree skillion truss cost? Just a ball park number would be very helpful. Re: Truss cost 2Jul 03, 2022 11:35 am Builders and suppliers don't give owners prices of individual trusses you need to pay for the drawings/engineering first up and then they will give you a total cost per house. That way you are none the wiser. Estimates are based on a $/m2 rate, unfortunately, that keeps people guessing even when they are being r!pped off. here's rough guesstimate in it's simplest form 10m x 20m =200m2 (Simple 2- gable roof) 200m2x $150/m2 = $30K $30k/ 34 trusses = $882 say $900 per truss ( Approx) here's the kicker 30m pine x $5/m = $150 pine +Brackets +manufacture +Transport+ Installation + etc. Now compare that with alternate framing ie stick roof and truss mix? OT, if you want more accurate data/proofs and costs look towards Engineering 3D Bim For complex roofs/ ceilings-> pitched stick roofs are cheaper Cheers Chris Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Truss cost 3Jul 03, 2022 1:23 pm StructuralBIMGuy Builders and suppliers don't give owners prices of individual trusses you need to pay for the drawings/engineering first up and then they will give you a total cost per house. Really kind of you and informative. Re: Truss cost 4Jul 08, 2022 1:19 pm I always questioned why you need to put trusses at 600 mm intervals. Why can't you simply put stronger engineered steel trusses at 3 m intervals and save heaps of money and time. As far as I know, truss spacing at 1/4 of span should be okay (okay, so 2.5 m spacing in a the above 10 m span case). It's hard to comment as the photos area bit dark ( you might need a new 15 - just got one and wow ) Jokes aside, I can see one member that is cracked. I would find a… 2 2246 7 12133 |
