Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 21, 2008 8:47 pm Hi, I have been trying to upload some new photos on to Photobucket for the last couple of days but it's stopped working for me for some reason
When I click on 'Choose files' (sometimes the Choose files button isn't even there ), and then click on the photo I want to upload from my computer, the pop-up box disappears but nothing happens. I have checked my account properties and it looks ok - I don't seem to be using too much storage or anything, I have even tried deleting a photo from my album to make room for a new one but it still doesn't work. Is anyone else having the same problem? thanks in advance. Re: Is anyone else having Photobucket problems? 2Oct 21, 2008 9:24 pm you don't have a pop up bocker on do you? Re: Is anyone else having Photobucket problems? 3Oct 22, 2008 6:41 am Yep I've had that problem for a few weeks I've resorted to emailing the photos into my photobucket account mostly due to an IT department run by a leftover of a Stalinist Regime but I was having problems with the account at home as well...no pop-up blocker.
If you click on the "email" radio button where it says "from" on the right hand side it gives you an email address in the form of username.a number@uploads.photobucket.com you email your photos to this account, wait a while as it travels along the World Wide Wait, and it will dump them in the root directory of your bucket account, you can then move them around from there if you want. Re: Is anyone else having Photobucket problems? 4Oct 22, 2008 2:23 pm Thanks Mike so you don't know why it's happening at home?
I will try the e-mail thing later. I don't have any pop-up blockers either. So now there are about 4 steps to getting photos to display on the forum Re: Is anyone else having Photobucket problems? 5Oct 22, 2008 2:28 pm Does anyone else use Flickr? I thinks its much better than photobucket personaly. Re: Is anyone else having Photobucket problems? 7Oct 22, 2008 2:43 pm mikkyG Does anyone else use Flickr? I thinks its much better than photobucket personaly. Yes Flickr is a great site and has a bit of a community feel about it...there are also some awesome photographers on there...make my attempts at "serious" photography seem hopeless.... ...but does Flickr have the automatic tag generation for photos?
